About Me
I’m Ross Earnshaw.
I’m Ross Earnshaw. I’ve lived in Galt for nearly fifty years since coming here in 1977. I’m a retired lawyer with 40 years of experience. As one of Ontario’s leading litigators, I spent my career dealing with conflicts between those with opposing views. I served in the legal profession at the regional, provincial and national levels, ending with my role as President of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada.
I am proud of my legacy in the legal profession, but confess that my greatest fulfilment has come from the work I do in the community right here at home, especially over the past four years serving as Ward 4 Councillor on your city council – staying engaged with residents, supporting downtown vitality, promoting recreation and trails, and keeping a close eye on budgets, infrastructure, housing and city services.
Through my work on council, advisory committees, and the downtown BIA during my term as a councillor, I have remained closely involved in the issues that matter in Ward 4 and across Cambridge.
As an avid cyclist and hiker, you’ll find me out regularly on the beautiful Cambridge trails, often accompanied by my life partner, Suzanne. I am absolutely committed to protecting the natural environment that I love so much.
